Companionship. Homemaking. Personal Care.

Independence may become more difficult

as we age, but we still have

the freedom to choose our own path.

Let us improve your--- or a loved one's--- life

by providing compassionate, one-on-one care in the comfort of home.

Our comprehensive services include

24-hour access to a Registered Nurse for consultation and assessment.

Our personalized and affordable services are available 7 days a week and can range from a few hours a day to 24 hour care.

What Are Non-Medical Care Services?

Non-medical care services assist older people to live independently in their own home by helping them with the tasks of everyday living. These services are non-medical in nature and are delivered by qualified caregivers, who are sensitive to the unique needs of the client and community. These services do not require a physician’s order and also do not require the supervision of a registered nurse; however, Freedom at Home is in the unique position to provide a Registered Nurse's consultation should a medical issue arise.  Non-medical care services include, but are not limited to the following:

Personal care includes assistance with activities of daily living (ADL), such as bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, mobility assistance, incontinence care, feeding, and medication reminding.

Homemaking includes assistance with housecleaning, laundry, meal preparation, respite, and transportation for appointments, errands, shopping, and outings.

Companionship includes non-medical, basic supervision to ensure a client’s safety and well-being.

Continuity of care is idealized in the client’s experience of a ‘continuous caring relationship’ with an identified care professional via the delivery of a seamless service through coordination, integration, and the sharing of information between the caregiving team, the client’s family and physician, and the Registered Nurse who is always available on call for consultation and assessment.

A unique aspect of Freedom at Home is that one of the managing partners, Marcia, also independently owns a Medicare-certified home health care agency named Freedom Home Care (FHC provides skilled nursing, as well as physical, occupational, and speech therapy), so if a medical issue should develop, medical care can begin almost immediately.  Marcia is a Registered Nurse who is available for consult 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, which simply provides another layer of comfort to our non-medical clients and their families.

Our reasonable hourly rate includes 24-hour access to an on-call administrator as well as 24-hour access to a RN. Our caregivers are fully insured (including workers' comp insured), criminal background checked, drug screened, reference-checked and have comprehensive training, including consulting the Registered Nurse regarding a possible medical concern.
